I am lucky enough to be one of the 10 Finalists in a competition held by www.autosessive.com. The competition, ‘’How Autosessive Are You’’ closes at The NEC in a weeks time. Autosessive with his

Ford Capri 280 Brooklands.

My obsession with all things Capri was rekindled in 2004 when I came across D100 VOO garaged and under a dust sheet and NOT USED. In short I could have her for £3000 far less than she was worth as I promised to look after her. She was in show not concourse condition and over the next five years I have gained a cupboard of trophies, cups and plaques.

I then in 2009 wanted a change and began to use her to raise money for Children's Charities, so far in excess of £1,700 for The Children's Adventure Farm in Cheshire (CAFT). I also had the privilege of garaging her in the main bar of The James Braid Suite at The Mere Golf and Country Club in December 2010 again for CAFT as the centre piece at their Annual Ball. (Complete with her own lighting rig) I am glad to say we came out of that unscathed.

I then found a Club to help me further my dreams of helping Children's Charities and I have recently helped out at A Dream Ride Event at Aintree the most worthwhile and thought provoking event I have ever done.

Many a weekend I can be found in the garage working on D100 VOO much to the amusement of my neighbours and long suffering wife. They often comment on why I spend all day cleaning and maintaining an already clean and mechanically sound car.

Why do I do it? In short I now like to use and some say abuse my car and Drive it for the benefit of others getting her out there and seen on the road or in the odd Country Club. In order to keep her feeling loved and in pristine condition countless hours are spent in the garage so that hopefully she can be continued to be enjoyed not only by me but the others she has helped.
